Manufacturing dependancies

Modified on Wed, 25 Mar at 9:12 AM

Erplain allows you to use assembled products as components of other assembled products.

This is handled at the production stage through a dependency system. A dependency means that a manufacturing order launched with an assembled component is linked to a parent document, which places the parent document on hold until the components required to produce the parent product have been manufactured.

To create a dependency, simply select a manufacturing order containing an assembled product as a component, and choose whether you want to create a new linked manufacturing order or link an existing one.

Once the link is established, the document is placed on hold, and the dependency is reflected in the calendar, along with the various links. The parent document remains blocked until the child manufacturing order has begun its production.
